- His ticket matched the full seven lucky numbers in the days and months sets in the Lucky Day draw.
- He beat the odds, which are 1 in 8,835,372 for hitting the jackpot.
The First-Ever Jackpot Win
The 29-year-old is the first person to win the Grand Prize in the UAE Lottery. While the young professional acknowledged it all came down to luck, he also credits perseverance. Anilkumar has lived in Abu Dhabi for more than 18 months and has been playing scratch cards and then Lucky Day draws for about a year.
He bought 12 tickets for the draw on 18 October, sticking to his usual pattern of Easy Pick and choosing the month of his mother’s birthday for the months set. Since his mother’s birthday is in November, picking the number 11 has turned out to be a fantastic birthday gift for her.
His first thought is to use some of the winnings to help bring his family to the UAE and make sure that they have all they need. That includes his parents and his brother, who he wants close by to celebrate this life-changing event.
Multiple Lottery Winners
It was the most exciting draw since the UAE Lottery launched back in November 2024. While Anilkumar Bolla is the lucky winner, there were several other people celebrating the results of the draw. There were seven guaranteed winners of Lucky Chance ID, who won Dh100,000. Plus, another three who won Dh100,000 through matching numbers in the days and months set.

On top of that, 67 players won DH1,000 with their matching number. Additionally, 7,067 winning players got Dh100 for various winning combinations. Alongside the winning number in the months set of 11, the six winning numbers in the days set were 25, 18, 29, 11, 7 and 10.
Winning Plans
Anilkumar has confirmed that he doesn’t plan to leave his job in IT immediately. He has plans to stay in the UAE for the future, at least for the next 10 years. While there aren’t many luxury purchases on his mind, he does have one particular dream to fulfil. Besides moving his family to the country, he suggests his first big purchase could be purchasing a property.
At the moment, he has set his sights on buying a dream villa. He’s dreaming big, too, with thoughts of heading to upscale areas, such as Saadiyat Island or Yas Island. It’s clear that he’ll take some time to think before making a strategic move, though.
Business and Investment
The majority of the lottery winner’s plans are business-minded. He plans to invest in real estate and the stock market. He also sees himself going into business with a colleague. They have both talked about their dreams of running their own company, and now, it could come true with the capital to start their own IT consultancy.
His colleague and friend was the first person that he shared the news with. After a moment of disbelief, the colleague congratulated him; just one of many celebrations that Anilkumar will experience as the news continues to sink in.
